With the increase in multidisciplinary nature of science, it has become important for researchers of many different backgrounds to meet and discuss research ideas. On September 2 in 2014 graduate students from Department of Materials System Science (chemistry and physics) of Yokohama City University of Japan will visit the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences, Academia Sinica Taiwan to have a joint workshop. In this workshop we will have oral presentations by students and young researchers from both sides, as well as a poster session. With this interaction we hope to exchange research ideas and enrich collaborations. We take this opportunity to encourage interested researchers to participate in this workshop.
