From Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to IAMS in Taipei:

1. Taxicab

   Taking a taxicab is the easiest way to arrive at IAMS or your hotel. Airport taxicabs queue outside the Arrival Hall of both Terminal 1 and 2 twenty-four hours a day. The charge is based on the meter plus a 15% surcharge. The approximate cost from the airport to the NTU main campus is about 1,200-1,300 NTD (about $41 USD or ¥4200 JPY). The transportation duration is around 50 minutes depending on the traffic condition. Most drivers of airport taxicab can speak English. 2. Bus [Bus + Taipei Mass Rapid Transit (MRT)]

   • Go to the bus station at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 and purchase a bus ticket for Kuokuang Line (1819 Line) heading to Taipei Railway Station. Get off the bus at the final destination, Taipei Railway Station.

   • Follow the sign to the MRT station, Taipei Main Station. The nearest entrance gate is M2. Please check the following map to find “M2”.
   • If you are going to the campus, purchase a single journey ticket heading to Gongguan on the Xindian line. Take MRT Xindian (green) line and get off at the Gongguan station.
     (Fare: NTD $20/adult; Travel time: 12 minutes)
   • Take Exit #3 of the Gongguan station and you will be outside the campus.

3. Taiwan High Speed Rail [Bus + Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) + Taipei Mass Rapid Transit (MRT)]

   • Purchase a bus ticket at the bus station in the Arrival Hall of Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 for the Taiwan High Speed Rail Shuttle Bus (link). Get off at the final destination, Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) Taoyuan station.
     (Fare: NTD $30/adult; Travel time: 20 minutes)
     
   • Buy a THSR ticket heading to “Taipei” at the THSR station and take the High Speed Rail going north. Get off at the last station, Taipei and follow the transfer signs to Taipei MRT station.

   • If you are going to the campus, purchase a single journey ticket heading to Gongguan on the Xindian line. Take MRT Xindian (green) line and get off at the Gongguan station.

   • Take Exit #3 of the Gongguan station and you will be outside the campus.

From Taipei Songshan Airport to IAMS in Taipei:

1. Taipei Mass Rapid Transit(MRT)

   • Go to Terminal One (International Flights) and follow the transfer signs to Songshan Airport station of Taipei MRT.
   • Buy a ticket of MRT to Gongguan station (Fare: NTD $30/adult; Travel time: ~26 minutes ).
   • Take the MRT to Taipei Zoo and get off at Daan station.
   • Transfer to Xinyi (red) line, take the MRT to Beitou and get off at Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall station.
   • Transfer to Xindian (green) line, take the MRT to Xindian and get off at Gongguan station.
   • Take Exit #3 of the Gongguan station and you will be outside the campus.

2. Taxicab

   • Taxi rank is located outside the Arrivals Lobby.
   • Taking a taxicab is the easiest way to arrive at NTU (about NTD $220).
